This Saturday sees another very high spring tide of the same height as the tides that caused extensive coastal flooding on 3rd January. While this is not normally a problem, we also see that the high tide and an incoming depression are happening at the same time.
A deep depression is building in the mid Atlantic and will pass the Northwest of the British Isles through Saturday, bringing massive coastal waves and high onshore winds.
Those who were at risk at the beginning of the year should take appropriate precautions to protect against possible flooding.
MagicSeaweed are showing a swell area building and hitting the west of Ireland on Saturday with offshore wave heights reaching 63 feet.
Pleas check local news in your area in the coming days for areas at risk of flooding. If you have any questions, please comment below.
