Tide Times

For those in coastal areas, the next high tide occurring across the UK this evening will be the best time to predict if you will be at risk of flooding, come tomorrow morning. For each millibar of pressure fall, the sea level increases 1 centimetre so a 30 millibar drop in pressure equates to a 30 centimetre rise in sea level.

Couple the low pressure, the hurricane force winds and the spring tides, please be aware of any local safety announcements regarding flooding in your town. South facing coasts will be more at risk but the lowest pressure is passing across the north west of the British Isles.
