GLOBAL GRIBs

GRIB files are weather data files containing grided meteorological data. They require a GRIB file viewer to view the weather data (See FREEWARE below). They are used to distribute weather information (usually mean wind speed and isobars) benefiting from a small file size for transfering over the internet.

GRIB dot US free to register GRIB downloader and viewer software. 1/2 degree resolution to 7 days in 3hr intervals with wind speed, isobars and rainfall. Highly recommended.
